Going To Loughborough for a Laker or two, at least try anyways. Iceman whom I have met here through the board and myself will be taking an attempt at these, will report back later on Mission Into the Unknown.

Good luck!
It will be my first laker trip so I'm not expecting much when I get the chance to go. But I am dying to fish lol

Btw Canadian tire put all laker jigging gear away until next year... I told the man it didn't make sense because the season was still open, but they seemed to think getting other summer inventory out was more useful now. They still have a great walleye ice fishing set up but without a discounted price I was really reluctant to purchase more tackle for next year...

Anyways go to pro tackle if you need anything and catch lots of fish!!

Fished 55-60 ft. marked fish off and on many times in the 5 hours there. Used tubes, Raps, little Cleos, Pimples in 3 sizes, Bucktails, Buckshots, 4 inch powerbait shads and one or two other lures Chase no commit, chase and no commit. Fish won today but I did have a great time and a lot of com'n com'n take it...damn, com'n take it and turn away. I will be back. The majority of the activity was 8-10 ft from bottom and between 11:00 and 12:30.

Quad to the lake likely, on the lake not from Davidson Beach, Snowmobile should be fine.

Thanks Fry!

Excellent report, too bad sometimes the fish need to win lol.
I'm hoping to try lakers for the first time this upcoming week.

Not knowing much about them, I will probably just sit there all day with a white tube jig...
Do heavy spoons tipped with minnows work well? What about dead sticks tipped with just minnow and sinker?

As a walker is Sydenham rd launch my best option? (NW side of lake looked easy walking ) I was told the beach was a little better fishing but not walkable...

I was going to sit on the drop off in about 60fow.

If any of this sounds off can you steer me a little more towards a successful direction?
Anything would be great help for my first trip.

Thanks again for your post!

Nice, glad someone has found them and got them to commit. I found them just no commitment the other day.

Did the big o and "0" left with a big goose egg. Didn't mark a thing. Buddy with me picked up a white fish, a few lbs.
