It's going to be another year like last year. Mother nature needs to warm up the water fast. Lakers will be plentiful again.

You can travel from the small boat launch out to the lake, that's open.

As of last Sunday, Athol Bay was filled from Half way to Salmon Point Road across to West Point. Last Sunday - probably lots of changes since then.

I kind of have to agree with Dave. probably going to be a lot like last year.
If the wind stays more westerly it could be a good season. I am going to try a few different presentations than the normal offerings and a couple different areas that may warm up faster.
Stay tuned, if it works I will post the results.

The guys on the south shore have started. As soon as you can get the boat ready and the launches are open.

Weather is also the determining factor in the spring. We need a week of 20 C and it would be all good.

Now I really want to get on the water!!

Was hoping to try and get some rainbow before they move into the "drake" this cold snap can move along anytime now.
