We purchased the Terrova in the fall after the boat was put away so we haven't had a chance to really play with it yet. We did get the quick mount plate and installed that so it's all ready to go. The only question I had what it has a thin cable coming out of the top head of the motor with a smallish plug on the end. I'm thinking this is a cable to hook up to a Hummingbird to link the two but we don't have a Hummingbird. Can anyone confirm if this is correct and if I can just open the head to remove the cable?

Im thinking thats the transducer and you would need to purchase the adapter cable to match whatever depthfinder you want to use on the bow

Horsehunter is correct

I have a terrova and that cable attaches to whatever depth finder you use....

I have a hummingbird so no adapter needed...

Okay. That is what I thought but don't have a finder on the bow yet.
