Temps are rising. I think this weekend should be a start to the season. Wind looks good so far for Sunday. Ice is all gone off the beach in Wellington.

If I get the boat done in time, we'll be out.

Ok AL might see you out there. Look for the 18' Black Legend. Same name on the radio.

We're coming from Ottawa. Any suggestions for accommodations nearby?

Checking windfinder at Point Petre shows wind gusts up to 56 km\h out of the west on Saturday and gusts to 37 km\h on Sunday. I'll wait for better conditions unless someone knows of a better forecast.

Might be better off the weekend after. Just itching to get out after this long grueling winter.

I went to Wellington from Ottawa this time last year, which was a late spring as well, and it was a bust for the Browns. We did manage a few lakers in shallow so at least we weren't skunked. Some other friends from Ottawa went to Polaski, NY the same weekend and did pretty good on the Browns. I guess the water was warmer on the south side of the lake. Warmer weather is in the forecast for next week so hopefully the following weekend will get good!

Brown fishing between Canada and U.S. doesn't compare. Us is way way way better.

I second that choice Ice is still on Westlake but after next week it should be out at sunrise cottages and I think you would be able to dock right there so no loadings and unloading during your stay that's a nice bonus I suggest you call them to hash out any and all details. but you will be treated very well.

Thanks Gordo and Chuck for your kind words. We enjoy what we do and everyone who visits. The ice should be gone in front of our place by dinner time tonight at the latest, then in with the docks.
