Last year (haven't checked this year) possession was 4 fish on a sport licence, one being allowed over 24", would this not be a slot size of <24", just throwing this into the discussion since bets were made.
Cheers Rob

I would have to agree with the slot size. On the bay your only aloud 1 fish over 24 3/4 inch roughly. I would consider that a slot limit seeing how u just can't go out and catch 4 fish and bring them home regardless of size. That's my input.

No slot limit. There is a trophy limitation. Only one fish over 24.8" (63 cm)

a slot in the fishing regulation world is just that, in between two designated sizes of minimum and maximum. The current regulations as Scott explained are not a slot. WIKIPEDIA defines slot as

A protected slot limit is a tool used by fisheries managers to regulate the size of fish that can legally be harvested from particular bodies of water. Usually set by state fish and game departments, the protected slot limit prohibits the harvest of fish where the lengths, measured from the snout to the end of the tail, fall within the protected interval.[1] For example, on a body of water where there is a protected slot limit on largemouth bass between 12 and 16 inches, no largemouth bass greater than 12 inches and less than 16 inches may be harvested.[2] In this example largemouth bass less than 12 inches and greater than 16 inches may be removed from the water and kept for personal use in accordance with local fishing regulations.
