So this will be my first time launching in the Boq . Everyybody on this site has been helpfull with the info they provided . I am curious how long of a drive it is from the napanee dock to where it opens into mohawk bay? I will only have a 20hp and assume there is a speed limit in place. Any help would be awesome!!!!

I've made the tour in my boat. I have a 14' with a 25hp. It's not that bad of a drive. Make sure you have a chart plotter or something or a good spot light if at night. It's kind of a twisty turny run out with lots of shallow spots and bouys everywhere. The water is down everywhere I have been this year and you would definitely want to stay between the red and green!

The ride will take about 20mins at a normal speed, there will be boats everywhere so you wont be able to go too fast. stay near the buoys because there are shallow spot with lots of humps. The power lines is about the half way point. The trick will be at the dock as there is now only one launch and cement barriers. It fills up fast and parking is limited with the restaurant open. Good luck, Tom

If you're planning to fish the mouth of the Napanee river you would be better off to launch in Deseronto. Its closer. http://www.quintefishing.com/Boat%20Launches.html
