Launched out of Belleville and headed to big bay after work yesterday. Wind was blowing pretty good out of south west. We set up bb and harnesses between ship wreck and big bay shoal. With the winds to our back it was moving us at 0.9 to 1.3 km. After half an hour picked up a 2 lber. About another 30 minutes caught another 2 lber. Marked a lot of suspended fish so switched up to ceankbaits. Ran a cc shad, flicker minnow, jointed scatter rap and even the ole rippling red fin but no takes. Changed up to flatlining spinners and worms which resulted in 2 fish about 3 lbs. On the way back stopped in at an area that usually has a few early weeds and casted tail dancers with no luck and didn't see much weed growth . Water temp was 63. Good luck to folks on the long weekend. Be safe

Thanks for the report Dan. I am heading out tonight to try a few spots around Belleville. I was hoping the weeds would be in by now, or at least started. Hopefully i will have something good to report.

Fair number of little ones at the mouth of the Napanee river and area. Have to catch a 4 or 5 before you get a decent eater

headed out last night to hit a few spots. I was hoping to find some green somewhere seeing that the weather has been pretty warm. Typical this early in the season there isn't lots happening with little weed growth.

We usually do pretty good with off shoal fish this time of year. Marked lots hanging around and suspended, but they don't seem to aggressive yet. chucked everything in the box at them, but only managed a few sheep and a whack of perch... nothing touching cranks yet except after dark.

Headed over to Pointe Anne to try every depth; picked up 3 right away in 4-6 feet. Started working the shallows hard, but nothing more... 3 for the day, all in an hour. nothing on Cranks or jig type baits, all on spinners and plastic.

Another week and it should be picking up.
