I have benefitted in a number of ways by viewing the post of other members on this site. Some of those members have put a lot of time on the water and share a lot of information to keep everyone apprised of what is going on out there. Not just at one time of the year but through most of the year. Many members give good tips on what lure is producing ,areas that are hot etc. Superdad is one example.

I am making a proposal to the site administrator for consideration. Is it possible to have an annual award (voted on by members to this site) to be given to another member on this website who the majority of members believe is most deserving. I don't think it is simply about fishing but about sharing information with others. That is what makes this board interesting and useful to all members. It could be pictures or information but at the end of each year , most members using this board may have an idea who has contributed most on this board for the benefit of all members. This is just a rough idea in the working but it might be worth further pursuing. Winners can be announced in January of each year based on votes made in December? Perhaps a sponsor or two can put forward the proposed annual award. Fishing has taught me a lot of values: being prepared, being humble, respecting nature, having fun with friends, sharing information and techniques, working through tough spells. Some members may convey these values through their conduct and maybe it is time for some type of annual recognition. Just an idea to bat around.

does this include river fishers as well

speaking of which, there ARE steelhead in the Moira right now as well as Browns, but if you do go out there people, let people know you are going, and just be careful, that water is really moving and one wrong step you're gone.
later.

Yes I think it is fair to open it up to whoever contributes to this board .

Replica,
Sounds good to me. I will talk with a few sponsors and see what I can come up with.
