At the current time my father and I are on West Lake trying to catch some walleye and my transducer for on my HDS 8 is acting up. It gives me depth readings and then it stops reading depth for ten minutes. Where in this area could I buy a new transducer? Any help will save our fishing weekend.

Thanks
Viktor

Try switching to manual mode in the sonar settings. Auto causes some weird things sometimes. Could also just be the angle of the ducer got bumped off.

Make sure you have the Fishing Mode set to Shallow Water. Common issue this time of year and not always a transducer.

Thanks for all the help. As I turns out, it was a battery issue. I put a new battery in the boat and all the problems were solved. Thanks once again.

I just ordered one for my Humminbird 570 from Bay Distributing in North Bay. Give them a try.
