Looking to buy a second down rigger weight. Would like the 2 weights to be identical so they run parallel etc, figuring less chance of them getting fouled. Tylercurt found this one at a show or silent auction and cannot remember who made it. I would like to purchase a second one. If you recognize this or are the person who made it please PM and let me know if there is a chance to get a second one. The weight is 14 lbs.
The thanks for your time and consideration
Cheers Rob

That weight comes from a pretty common mold. It shouldn't be hard to find at all. Hey Rob, you really shouldn't hook your release to the back of the weight. It would allow the weight to track a lot better if you hook it above the weight on the cable. The weights will track better if something isn't tugging at their tail and not allowing it to make the proper swing. If you can't find one if those weights let me know

Like L.S. Said that's a common mold. Some Canadian tires even sale that style, or you can order off cabelas website. Or you can just order the mold. I know I have 2-3 of them I don't use but not sure if they r 16's. Mine are coated but u can always cut the coating off and paint them. I'll look.

The release is not on the back. I add a piece of line so the weight is 2 feet below the riggers clip and put my release at the clips height (water line), the clip at the tail is for a flasher, so I do not have the flasher on my line. Just the way I like to rig it up. The weight is 14 lbs. thanks for any info.
Cheers Rob

Hey Rob, I'm confused on your set up. Could you show me a picture of something. I'm curious. I'll keep my eyes out for a non coated 14

POW Casting out of Waterloo is making those weights, newer company, great prices. I have a few in the store but it is way to far for you to go. I am sure one of the tackle shops out that way will carry them also.

I rig the flasher this way so when fish is on I am not fighting it and the flasher. When I hit the raise switch the release clip is at the riggers zero mark and the weight is 2 feet under the surface. Don't know if it is the best way but I haven't lost a flasher on a rigger strike where I have been robbed several time on dipsy strikes.
Cheers Rob
