Sorry the report is late but had to get the pictures and then the time.

Hit Picton early Sat. morning after leaving Scar. in the snow. Looked at Pete, "best time of the year buddy!
The people at the Tip of the Bay great as always, allowed us a early checkin. Unloaded the gear and loaded the boat. mmmm the wind is up but off we go.
Setup out of the harbor and down the plant shore. Nothing. Over to the bouy's. Nothing. Ok time for 2 line time. Setup down between the lighthouse and the ferry. Ok now marking more fish. but no takers.
Triing everything. DHuskys in many colors, Mann's many colors, Jointed rapala's many colors and depths but still no fish. As we trolled down wind to the lighthouse the wind started to pickup....."time to head back Pete"

WOW got to the ferry and did the waves everpick up!
The spray was instant ICE.

But I am still having fun :P

After getting back to the calm side of the lake and looking at the gear it was time to head back to the warmth. 5 hours no fish but memories just the same....
Talked to ICEGUYZ, (you all seen his report) nice to meet you sir. Time for bed as not much sleep on Fri.

Sunday morning out the door and clean off the boat. Boy did it ever snow!
Setup out side of the harbor again and trolled toward Merland's. On the board with blue Dhusky Jerk.......fish on. Solid 10lbs! Already better then yesterday.

Get that back out there Pete says. No problem buddy my fingers are already cold, I will do it. Same setup goes back out. Setting up second rod and OFF it goes again. Your turn Pete!

Another 10lb. Ya just have to love it.
The sun came up and out came the boats, my guess 25 of them. Stayed in the area for a while but nothing more. Boat noise and light change, time for a move. Made it down past Merland and started marking more fish. 6-7 boats working the area.
Got another around 10am. 8lb 11oz.

Time to go check out and warm up. The water in the harbour heading in was 34F and trying to freeze.

Headed back out for a couple of hours in the same area and got 1 more around the same area, 6lb.
Don't know why he didn't get his picture taken?
All fish on the same rod and setup.

As always a great time in Quinte. Thanks to all on the board and see ya on the hard water soon.

Safety First,
Jack

Good report - looks like it was difficult fishing withe ice and snow.

Walleye anglers are a different breed when it comes to cold weather.
