I'll bet the bite changes again with the thunder storms that are approaching and the colder temperatures.
It's unfortunate as things had been slow for a while now.

Guess David's post got people interested in the bay as I counted 15 boats running church this morning around 10 am, I was there at 6 alone....Had a great day too, caught many species numerous times, almost 2 dozen worms so they are all be well fed , caught everything except for a walleye....lol

Cataraqui Shoal to Green Point was also very productive the last couple days. Six nice eaters yesterday and today with a couple sheepies thrown in for some added fun. All fish caught on green and yellow spinners. Finally!!! :P

It sure was crowded in that area and people were catching fish.

Tim, were you there solo?

I was alone, blue Sylvan side console, ran up to Thompsons then back to church when the wind picked up some, off by 10am when it got crowded. Seen alot of nets over the side but heard alot of sheep calls as well...lol

Yes it was, finally got to get out on the water, Hit Shermans PT and never left. At one point Saturday I counted over 17 boats there but we were all able to get along nicely. No monsters, the largest being 19.5" and a bunch under 15(nice to see that age class) between saturday and sunday I kept 4 18" fish and had a real nice fish fry Sunday evening. The best part of the whole weekend, not a single sheepshead in the boat. Can life get any better?

I am headed up to fish the Bay in a few weeks. (we launch at church during day and from the ferry at night). Was wondering if anyone can update me on conditions for the Church area and the marina side of the ferry, as well as any action by the cement factory??? Plan on heading up for the first week of September. We fished hay bay the last week of July and caught one walleye. Hoping for better conditions. Don't feel like taking the trip from Pennsylvania for Sheeps and pike (even though the fight is awesome). Any info will help. Great forum here. Glad I found this site.

Thanks Jvan89. Appreciate the Report. We usually jig during the day and casting to shore at night.
