Sorry to say this, but the last time I checked you could only access the east side down along the bank. The dam itself is gated and high fenced with barbed wire on both sides. The west side is now also gated right at the lock itself where you walk down the stairs to go over to the dam. As a result, I haven't fished there all year. If it weren't for that, I'm sure others, myself included would have a report for you.

I sent letters to both Quinte West and Parks Canada about this. They told me they were just looking out for us and it is in the best interest not to fish there because it is too dangerous. I had two words for them and it wasn't Merry Christmas...

I fished there for 35 years with no problem and I'm sure others have even longer. I'd love to hear from someone if they took the gates down yet and we can fish there again.

West side gate has been open for the last week or so for sure. I have been fishing both sides with no luck for walleye but have gotten a 40inch Muskie in the southeast corner of the "pool" as well as a garpike in the same area.
