Quinte Fishing

Fairly new to fishing the Quinte. Heading out on the Bay next wknd.Looking for some helpfull tips, locations, depths to fish, Lures to use for walleye. Don't get to go to often any tips would be appreciated.

It's a Big Bay. Find a weedline and troll with any in line spinner, worm harness or crank bait.

If you are looking for eater size (resident) fish, treat Quinte like you would any other lake. A walleye is a walleye. Spring, summer and fall patterns. I'm no pro, but I'd say at this time of year this fish will be moving up into shallower water. Say 4-10 FOW. (Even shallower at night) As mentioned above, look for weeds and try trolling close by, or get right in there with some sort of jig/minnow combo or bucktail jigs.
If you're looking for trophy fish, that's a whole different story. It's still a week or two away. Stay tuned, and you should start reading some reports of big fish being caught.
