Made It out fishing the last few weekends. Hit the water 2 weeks ago and picked up a few nice eyes and lost a few more.
So when a friend asked me to play hooky the next friday I couldn't say no. Despite enduring a bit of hail the weather and winds were not bad but the fishing was incredible. In 7 hours of fishing we boated 19 with the biggest around 13lbs, a couple of double headers and one triple header. Decided to try again that Sunday afternoon. Got the first fish on and realized I forgot the net, but we still managed to pull 8 walleye in sans net, and another great outing. My son joined us this past weekend but things slowed a bit, but we did find them again late in the day and had an hour flurry of 5 walleye and a big pike. We ran many different baits but the perch Matzuo was the big winner pulling in 90% of the fish.
