Hi everyone , a good friend and longtime well known board member is going through a hard time in his life . You all know him but I would like to keep private who it is . He has asked me to keep sharing hunting and fishing pictures with him as he really enjoys the outdoors very much . He would love to see some pics from you all on your recent outings and maybe a quick story behind . He really enjoys seeing peoples pics and it really makes his day . I will start it off , please show your support to him .

Catcher,
I haven't been taking pictures alot lately but here's a pic. This is from a trip out to the big lake in august. Caught them on back to back casts while video game fishing in 35' on drop shot baits. The bigger one was 5.5ish and the other under 5. My thoughts and prayers to him and his family during a very difficult time.

Thank you for this Gerry. It's surprising what a few pictures of seeing people out catching some fish can do for a guy. At this moment, there is nothing like seeing the smile of some guy holding up a fish or duck and it helps it to ease my pain.

I am the person Gerry is talking about and I appreciate his thoughts very much. It comes with the most difficult thing a father can say. My oldest son recently took his life. Many of you have seen pictures of him and I on here and heard our stories over the years. I have met many of you on this board, and there are many here that I haven't met, but feel like know you.

The wake for my son will be at the Stirling Funeral home on James Street tomorrow night, Oct 29th between 5:00 and 8:00. If anyone would like to attend you would all be most welcome. Please feel free to wear your favorite hat or camo coat as you please. My son would want it that way from fellow anglers and hunters.

I am proud of my son and we will get through this. My son will always be there with me while I am out on an Adventure. I can't wait to be posting some stories in the future again. As Gerry said, I do appreciate this, it helps while I am going through this hard time.

So sorry to hear this Dave. As you mentioned in your post above, there are members on this forum that you have never met, but you still feel you know them. I'm sure many members feel the same about you.

Stay strong Dave. Your memories will last forever!!!

Sept. Fish from the Larry. Pulling a big spinner bait 180 ft back and we had just come off a deep weedline in 22 fow and out over the break into 26. Picked up the rod to shake some floating weed off and make sure the bait was not fouled. Just went to put it back in the holder and she smacked it hard. Big headshakes and one jump clear of the water when it was still 100 ft back. The fish went away strong on the release.
