What a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like an early September fishing day. Warm - wind died at 1100 - it was perfect - Almost

NO FISH - NO STRIKES- Never saw a net.

Laker John and I fished the High Shore in Long Reach, travelled to Picton Bay for a look see. Saw the work that's been done on the shore by the salt piles..... Lots of blasting.

Piles of baitfish in Picton Bay, trolled for a couple hours and then made a pass from where the Yellow marker at the mouth of Hay Bay was to the launch ramp and then headed to Middle Hay Bay to finish off the day.

Marked lots of baitfish but couldn't find a biter anywhere.

Fished from 0830 - 1530 - The smell of the skunk was in the boat.

Water temp - Picton Bay 48 Degs F, Long Reach 48 degs F, Hay Bay 47.7 degs F.

The fish are not biting, there may not be the numbers we usually see at this time of year. They must be east of the ferry.

Stay Tuned - We're not done. Even tried Evesr new favourite with no luck.....

David aka Superdad

My buddy and I were out there aswell. We fished from sun up till sun down and managed 8 walleye. We had 2 double headers and 1 of the double headers was 2 eyes over 12 pounds each. Lots of boats out there! Definitely with the warmer weather and traffic it made for a tough bite.

Does anyone know how the water temp compares to past years? Are we warmer than usual?
