LEAVE IT UP TO A FEW SICK TWISTED FRIENDS TO DRAG ME INTO THIS THREAD LOL Nice pic. s Magician. Some very nice quinte gold for sure.
I have to admit this was not the best year for me to buy a new boat as the fishing has been super tough I have been out 5 times no less than 5 hours each time and have caught a grand total of two fish one sheepy, and one very nice hefty double digit eye that I was thankful for. hard to post a pattern with that kind of success lol . I know many who have had the same kind of luck, a fish here, and a fish there but not the bite we all have grown used to and most are looking for expressly the guys who travel long distances all for not!
I have seen loads of bait and lots of eye candy on the graph but none laying on the bottom of the boat in fact I get the feeling I know absolutely nothing about fishing walleye and take a humble bow to those who have been out there and have posted success on this board .
I can remember some 30 fish days out there in past seasons this season hasn't been one of them seasons......... YET!!!! Some of the very best have struggled out there this year but its not human nature to brag about defeats...... Like man I have had one of the best days ever out fishing where I never caught a thing! I have seen guys post went out today got 3 fish, went back the next day same place same gear and never moved a rod......... I. don't know but I think if I could trade in being good for being lucky I would do exactly that ...a lot of heart ache comes from being good and only rewords come from being lucky......... and I sure would hate to be a fishing guide this year on quinte... season isn't over guys. just the days are very numbered my graph tells me that when the fish do turn on it will be a blood bath for thouse who haven't given up and if there is a brite side I predict one hell of a hard water season.. tight lines guys and once again. nice fish porn Magician.

This is hilarious, but did some early posts get deleted? I saw Cinderblockcyclops post about some nice fish with no details, then Fishinmagician reference his post where there is a pic of a 15lbr....then all hell breaks loose, WTH?

Some interesting conversation to say the least! My brother and I have been walleye fishing on Erie for over 20 years, we love it as do many of the others on this site. Due to work and family obligations we never made it to the Bay until last Fall. Yes that is true! Well our experience last year with Nick Werner, one of the local guides was one that we'll never forget and needless to say we were hooked. So this past weekend we trailered our boat on up and over to the BOQ to give it a shot on our own. We're sorry to say that the weekend is behind us but the plans are already underway for the same weekend next year which is our Thanksgiving here in the states. Saturday we were skunked except for what we think was a white fish, Sunday we did much better and caught a total of four. One topped the scales at 13.7, another at 10 and the other two would have been good eaters but they all are swimming the Bay as we speak. Over the years there has been many days where we were skunked, just like this past Saturday. As fisherman we think we have all of the knowledge or the right lure or the desired color and we still go home scratching our heads. The sport of it is trying everything and anything that we have learned from our father, grandfather, a friend, Nick, an article, a video and all other avenues of ideas or suggestions. The attitude, effort and overall enjoyment of being out on the water is truly a blessing and we're fortunate. If it was easy we all would not be looking forward to that next day on the water, that is for sure! :D

Just so it's clear Jeff C, Grouchy Outdoors, Rob F and myself did not boat the 17lb. The 17lb was caught by someone else.

Hey Grizz ! Don't worry about the tough bite
According to many experts on board the fish are just
late arriving this fall ! All hell will break lose very soon
and you will be laughing about your poor start to date.
Congrats on your new boat and may you Christen it
by hooking into a 20 lb 8 oz to beat the long standing Quinte
record by 1 oz :)

Guess you don't know Grizzly.

Cyclops...Do you actually only have one eye in the centre of your forehead??
Come on man....give it up. If you're dying to see the picture of the 17 pounder, just look at FishinMagicians picture of the 15, and pretend it is 2 pounds heavier.....Should give you a rough idea of what it looks like.
