We were comparing notes, and passing around a few fish recipes on another site. We talked about smoking etc...These little buggers are awesome!!

i have also tried the bacon wrapped fish we use smallies their great for that recipe cut the fish in chunks soak in soya sauce and brown sugar for about 2 hours wrap in hickory smoked bacon cook an barbacue for about 5 minutes and enjoy.

that's a good idea !! I was wondering what to do with all the flounder I have in my freezer, getting bored of the same recipes all the time, fish wrapped in bacon, never thought of it........ :D

Bacon... It should be its own food group. I dont eat fish but looks like I should try it. :D

Gotta love finger foods yummy ........ definatly will try the bacon trick........ my fav way to eat perch is boiled in pickeling spice chilled in an ice bath, and dipped in cocktasil sause...... mmmmm poor mans shrimp........ i have a killer bunnie Mc Nugget recipy too for when yer tired of rabbit stew, and wanna nibble food and watch a good hockey game *LOL* ......... ands who said men cant cook.......... definatly some woman *L*

Thanks for your replies fellas.

The guy I had gotten this cooking tip from was using pike chunks. Good idea since there are tricky to get a nice fillet from.

Grizz, A bud once cooked up a shore lunch boiling fish chunks and spuds in salty water....It sounded odd, but when they hit the plate with seafood dip.....I changed my mind fast mmmm mmmm!! It's been a while since I tasted Bugs Bunny, another great treat for sure!!

I got a new toy this summer for my salmon....I'll be looking for whitefish this winter too :wink:
