I hear the minnow guys are haveing a hard time getting them in the nets this year as the year is so messed up its effecting everything, know a few different stores waiting and they all get the same answer,so its deff effecting everything i think

my guess is going to be Jan 20th we still have a bit of rain in late Dec and no signs of Temps cooling off at all, I feel sorry for those who have already put their boats away lol

Not a chance there will be ice in January, water is still low 40,s and no daytime temperatures below freezing for the next two weeks. It will take a week of cold weather just to cool the water off before ice can form. Predictions are for a lot of windy days and that hurts ice build up as well.

I think we wil habe ice for end of january.. I cant see it before then.. Im looking at weather right now and its plus twelve lol last night two in the morn i stood in the backyard in my boxers letting dogs out and was not cold at all..its gonna be awhile if at all guys and girls..i oulled my boat back out of storage anyways so whatever happens happens but would really love to play on the ice for a month or so..pray to the ice gods guys

brrr -15C here today in Kingston but warm again Jan 6 to 9
MODIS satellite image for Jan 4th shows some ice cover in Big Bay with Long Reach and Hay Bay still open
accuweather shows a stretch fo cold nights starting Jan 10th
should be some ice by Jan 16th or 17th is my guess, but be careful

Bay pretty well iced over from Trenton to Bellrviile with ice in Trent River to bad it is turning mild

Quick update..... Be Safe out there !!!!

I only had 1.5" tonight ..... not even close to enough for me ,,,... I'd wait for a couple of weeks and see what happens. Watch the board..
