I looked at the Nanook last year and decided to purchase the Otter Cabin, was every glad I did. There were a number of reasons why, the quality of the material, inner poles are much stronger, the Otter is much taller can stand up comfortably, even getting in and out through the door. I know that the Otters are much more money, but in the long run all round better hut. This is only my opinion.

Hey Matt,
I have had the Clam Nanook for 3 years now and I would to say I have not been that pleased with it. The plastic clips inside the poles that lock in when being extended suck. I emailed Clam and complained and they sent me the stainless steel clips free no charge so that was good. Also I don't find there is enough room for when it comes to setting the hook I find I'm always hitting the front of the tent that drapes in. In my opinion I would spend the little bit extra money and get the Otter.

At that price it should come with someone to drag it out on the ice for you. Otter makes some great stuff. I bought a Nanook new for 250. I love it. I only installed one seat because I wouldn't fish side by side with someone unless her dad is Wayne and her uncle is Bob. :). That made it a little lighter and it leaves room for sled naps
