It's been a while since I've been sitting over a hole out on Big Bay. I had come up w/ a friend & I stayed in the past at a B&B on Big Island (Big Island B&B I believe....doesn't seem to be around anymore).

I'm planning on coming up at some point if it ever gets cold. I looked up some places in the area but thought I would check to see if anyone had any suggestions. I doubt anything is as convenient as being right on Big Island. I'm not picky.

I'd appreciate any comments.

Baycrest is on Big Island, just East of the Shoal.

The owner Dave is a good guy.

Thanks for the reply

I did run across Baycrest on their website, seemed nice. It looked like they only rent out the whole lodge for up to 10 people. At $300/night it would be a great deal if I had a bunch of people, but it would only be myself & one other guy.

Thanks,

That place sounds pretty good. I looked at where northport is & it's in a great spot. I overlooked that place when I was looking around on the net.

We (3 Yanks) stayed at Park Motel in Trenton and drove up to Belleville every morning ... made a day in the area to be around for night bite. Nice units and at $115/night for three guys ... a helluva steal. Not a bad drive up in the morning either.
