Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster. I love walleye's, I've been fishing them up north since i've been a young lad and now i've moved south for career reason's etc.. anyways. I'm looking to make the trip to the mighty quinte', fairytale land for walleye anglers, i'm excited. Now I want to be prepared when I go out there. What type of lures should I bring with me to potentially catch those monsters that i'm looking for.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys/gals, tight lines.

The best lures i've found for the Bay are 3/4 - 7/8 oz Mr.Champs.
Alot of guys swear by green :? but I've had my best luck using RED  .Last year I landed about 25 large eyes, most of which were in the slot so they went back  ,but with no lower slot this year I hope to take a few more home this year.
:D
P.S
DON'T forget to bring some stingers ,they are key to gettin big EYES on the Bay

anyone ever try tube jigs tipped w/ a minnow/shiner? I've got some really heavy tube jigs that are only 3" that I use for deep water smallies. Wasn't sure if they might work for eyes.

I've always had my luck with Little Cleos (blue and silver) tipped with a minnow. I think it has something to do with the topless girl on the back of the spoon.

The guy next to me saturday got his on a red champ. A guy in our group got lucky on a pimple. I hooked up sunday with a small green champ I use on Simcoe for perch, but was beat out by the cast master.

We have been using blade baits at Quinte for 15 years. Sonars mostly, with a cicadas as a back up. Most of mine have something added, red, chartruse or orange tape. They are a good lure there as they represent shad., or alwife. If you got em don't leave'em home.

Yo, I saw a buddy of mine catch a 7lb eye on a Jigging Shad Rap last year. That was the first one I've seen caught with one. I haven't had any luck with one. I stick to the spoons!!

Pimples just produce walleye on the bay! I either only use my blue pimple or my orange one!

Thanks Guys!! I got more answers than I thought I'd get. This is great info that i'm sure not only I will enjoy. Anyways, I promise to post my catch when I return. I was hoping to head out next week sometime but I'm not sure the weather will hold up. Isnt it terrible!? Things are a mess here in Simcoe land, i'm wondering if i'll even get out on the big lake for Lakers.
To go back on topic a bit, out of those lures you guys mentioned I have a 1/2oz all silver Mr. Champ, I may just put a green/red sticker on it. And I have the swedish pimple that's blue/chrome on either side.

I have a green/silver Cisco Flipper... anyone ever hear/use this? It looks appetizing. :)
