Quinte Fishing

Just thinking, all the posts about safe ice (or the lack there of) have left out one benefit. There have been thousands of Walleyes saved from harvest due to poor ice conditions and not to mention the crappy fall bite.

I'm sure it'll be an early spawn too so all the big girls will be well back into the lake by the time opener rolls around.

Based on all the reports of so many yearlings being caught it can only be positive for the fishery

Atleast there's that to look forward to.

Was just saying to wife earlier that if this year keeps up come opner its gonna be abit harder fiah for those tanks as they wouls of spawned long before dropped back to fees for a week on the flats then the migratory ones start boogying back to the lake if february goes hows its suppossed to then these fish will start thinking its time to rock and hitting the rivers as i have no doubt we are looseing most ice except wnough to keep the boats off the water.so those fish are gonna be spawned and gone...then we will jave a gd tourney fishing will be tuff for the bigguns amd i can see a seven lb fish winning the tourny at that point...lets hope for the best either ice stays gd enoughto fish atleast abit or get rid of ot all togwther and have a smash fest from the boat
