 Post subject: last night on Hay Bay

We spent most of the last day near the mouth of Hay Bay because of the good ice and caught more fish than the entire month. 9 Walleye...unfortunately not one was bigger than 12 inches. It's nice to see next years population is growing but this year sure sucked if you were planning on eating fish. It seemed that very few were caught and most were to big to keep. Over the winter we did catch a Lake trout down by the power lines which was a treat, fighting that on a short rod is fun. Looks like it's off to Dog lake for Splake until a boat ramp opens on Lake Ontario, then it's Brown fishing. See you all next May for the opening.
