Just a heads up, the dredger arrived today to begin dredging the Wellington Channel. Give them room when you are heading out to Lake Ontario for spring fishing. I believe they have to be done by the end of March, unless the County applies for an extention.

Have been out twice. Zero so far. Both days a lot of ice floating around. Temps not too bad, found 39 F in a couple places. probably another week if winds settle down, and turns westerly.

just a heads up since the channel is being dredged this means Westlake and lake Ontario is closed to fishermen... yes. again in all there infinite wisdom they have both launches blocked off and hoses run across the channel keeping anyone from launching a boat to go fishing... what a crock...... do these people not think??? there is no reason for this to happen its just how they chose to park there rig that is keeping anyone from using the lakes and I imagine they will take the weekend off and leave there crap right in the way and block all the fishermen from enjoying the YEAR AROUND sport they love!

They started dredging on Saturday and have been working hard I spoke to the guys and they will not, and do not park to block boats but at times they do have to do there job so it could be tricky getting around or past them but doable, now we just need water temperatures to set up Westlake lost its ice so things should set up soon depending on winds
