Bah Bah Big Sheep

What a fishery we have here in Quinte. We decided to give the walleye a break last week and give something different a try. We decided to try jigging sheep, everyone knows what a fight these stinking fish give. Well jigging with a med spinning outfit lined with 8lb mono is a blast. There is no stopping these freight trains sometimes. In the past two outing we have successfully landed 160 sheep and lost lots and with over 90% of them being over 10lbs and largest that was weighed was 18.5lbs. Unfortunately none of us thought to bring a scale the first night when we landed some monsters. There was even some bonus walleyes in the mix as well but well walleyes don't fight back lol. The multiple double headers of screaming drag is music to the ears. So Don't put those ice fishing jigs away when the ice melts they still come in handy.

I got some huge ones last fall out of Prinyers. They sure are fun.
