I was curious if anyone has done any jigging for trout in Lake O out around the Bonnet? My son wants me to take him out and try fishing for what ever we can catch but I don't own any trolling gear for that type of fishing. YouTube d a couple videos on jigging Lake O and it looked pretty successful however likely by some guys that have put a lot of time in and know when and where to go. I have a 17 foot with a 50 on it so I am skiddish and only go on calm days. I was out for a boat ride Saturday to show my wife the Bonnet as I have not been there sense I was about 14 (37 years ago) with my dad and I marked a few fish while there. Any advice would be appreciated.

Jigging for trout would be alot easier in May and early June. I think you would have success.

This time of year most are targeting other species at the bonnet.
