Herchimer ice report!

Well I was out this morning at 6am on Jan.31! This warm weather has effected this area a little, watch out for the first pressure crack when your walking out, there is one open spot that a 4 wheeler or a person could fall threw it is wide open!!! But as far as that, that is my only concern! Got further out towards the huts and drilled a few perch. But only 5 guys were out this mornin and everyone was saying the same, no big hits just perch! Well I'll be back out for 230-3 hoping there feeding tonight because they diffently weren't there this morning!

I know how you did fishin in the afternoon yesterday- did the ice conditions change any more since the a.m.? How was Moo Island today? Hope you did well. Conditions there? Thanks.....

Ill not be fishing the herchimer area the weather has turn to disgusting rain and warm weather( you know your Canadian when you complain about it being too warm! ) ! Cow Island and herchimer was terrible for me on Tues and Weds! No Eyes, 10 or so perch! Everyone was saying it was slow and only a handful out there! Funny how it went slow in that area after the sat and sun when 100s of people were out there! Pressure?!?
But im off this weekend Feb.3 and Skevy's told me a few spots where I can get in and do some shore fishing so I think thats the plan for this WE!
Next WE I got stuck workin both Sat and Sun!

Heres a picture from Meyers Pier out toward Herchimer after heavy wind and waves! Scary looking to me!

My Ice season is over and I fished meyers pier today, hard to cast in the wind though!

Wow, not exactly the picture I was looking for. Looking for pictures of fish and ice! Thanks for the response. I'm gonna figure out what were doin this weekend. Might bring up the boat.......

You'll have a better and safer chance of catching fish with the boat! Dam #1 in Trenton has a launch and I know there getting em there! Picton might even be a possibility as well! GL GREG ID stay off the ice shes screwed!
