I'm finally going to make it to Quinte for the 1st trip of the year tomorrow, I'm sure I'll see many of you out there!

I read a post not too long ago about nets in adolphus reach near kieths shoal that sounded like trouble. Does anyone know if they are gone? If not, whereabouts and can you see them before it's too late and everything is all caught up in them?

Welcome the board also! Great info here. When it's quiet on the board, go fishing, lol. If you fish Quinte much in the fall you should get a walkeye diary from the Mnr. There's a post about it on here recently.

There are still nets on the north shore of reach at the lighthouse and just east of the ferry on north shore.

This is sad. I thought they were supposed to be catching perch?
Might have to bring long handle shears on my next trip....

Yes it burns you when you see nets being used to catch these game fish - but remember this - you got to blame the people who buy these fish either to take home or eat in restaurants - I was at a campground this past summer and a local camper was telling me about this native run restaurant where you can get real good walleye meals - heck no wonder their are out there netting walleyes -
