Just ordered one from Radioworld.
Was out yesterday with a new battery and I ended up having to pull start the quad. I think I got lucky so this I hope will give me the peace of mind.

the website 'suggests' it would start a V8 truck?!

how is that even possible?

No clue how, but it is. Our Service Manager here boosted a V8 Chevy and it started right up in -20°C temps!

Old thread here, but just wondering if anybody has been using this device in the last couple years or have there been any new versions come out since then.
Any comments??

I bought one two years ago and I will say it worked great at the start. I find now that I either have a bad connection or it is losing its power. Had a hard time turning over a four stroke a couple weeks ago. It has had above normal use as I lend it out to patrons on my property that always show up with crappy batteries.

Also bought one a couple of years ago. Freaks out people when you pop their hood and boost them in a few seconds. Just an FYI it won't start your boat if you have 1000 cranking amp battery like I have. Still a great toy to have around. Two years still going strong.

I've been using something like this in all kinds of weather. Last year ice fishing, just came back from nipigon moose hunt and ran my ipad all week while sitting in the stand ( I know I should be hunting). Keep it plugged in the car all winter and topped up - never let me down yet. Mines a 500W
