so last December i went out twice over a period of 2 weeks and saw a dozen+ boats at Thompson's point both times. Turns out they were getting tons of 10 to 12 inch walleye, but not much bigger as I was to find out after trying my luck. Then in the spring once again a big school in May in the Reach, same sized fish. So, when are these fish going to reach 18+, and where did they go? no reports this fall of any schools of small ones. Any theories? Hope they've fattened up for this winter's ice fish, but don't expect they are big enough yet.

We found the same on WestLake this year. Terrific numbers especially looking at the next couple of years. I am concerned about the numbers that were caught up in the commercial nets here.

this is our brood stock I sure hope people realize this. and don't start taking them out by the hundreds and thousands and the walleye fishery will be incredible in 4 or 5 years with 5-8 pound fish we have been very blessed with 2 great spawning class years 2013 -2014 back to back this explains the bounty of 10-12 inch fish
