If your familiar with Big Island, Its by A rd called Alison road or It Start with a A tHe rd runs north and south. Theres 8 inches of ice out there, and to the east of there, theres a red buoy off of Trident around there must be good ice theres a couple of huts out there. BBUUTTT the ice isn't safe east of there. If you come on the weekend there should be enough fishingman around to guide you to some safe ice. Hopefully this helps you out some if anymore question, write back

Is Big Island at the western or eastern end of the BofQ? We aren't heading up until the 24th and there may be a lot of safe ice by then, but I like to know what's going on and where my options lie. We are planning on staying in Desoronto.

hey if yer staying in deseronto the best way to big island is go across the sky bridge. go on yer first right over the bridge and about 6 klms there will be the one and only right hand turn onto big island the road or cosway goes thru the swamp....... at the T take a right and go streight bearring left as the road bends around and it will take you right to big bay..... no place this year has been good ice other then the bays... all the narrows are unsafe so dont even try them . happy fishing!
