Can anyone tell me what the ice is like at Sherman's Point or Huffs? I travel about 2 hrs to fish Quinte so I was just looking for a little local input in terms of ice safety.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Safest place to get out based on what others have said is potters. Appreciate the ice reports even though I'm not able to get out! Tightlines and be safe.

I went to Huffs yesterday afternoon, I talked to guy that was just pulling out and he said that there was about 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches. There were still two guys on the ice to the south of the launch.

There was a large wet pressure crack about 20 feet wide leading from the point and continuing all the way across to the county side of the reach. There was another smaller wet spot, maybe 50 feet long, right in front of the launch heading south west.

Sorry, not enough safe ice for this kid, yet.

I was out yesterday Dec/30. On the south shore in the Trenton bay at fish finder charters and they had 7 inches in the hut. It's worth the money to be on safe ice when most of the lake is still a bit sketchy.
I landed 2 eyes missed 3 and 5 decent perch. (IMO) good luck and be safe.
If you use his huts they are good clean and warm and not a bad walk out to them.
