I should have kept going then, I saw those cracks etc and got cold feet, I guess cause we were only ones there and visibility was bad. Good to know though, thank you. Any luck??

I only ended up with perch as well but was so close I wasnt expecting anything else. might be back out tues or wednesday evening. i always feel a little more comfortable when there are a few other people out there so if you or anyone else is heading out I wouldnt mind following

Are you saying you went through the ice? Exactly where and how thick was it? Were you alone?

Ya last year at potters. Was weird I was out the night before I went through,5 inches. Walked out 6:30am next morning to the same spot and went in. Was 10 feet from my holes. Hit the ice with the spud and it went right through. Maybe an inch in a matter of 10 hours. It was crazy

Well I did go to big bay, walked out from the island. 6" of ice everywhere I checked. We caught one fish and lost another, and got a handful of jumbo perch. Pretty slow day. Check as you go though, conditions change daily.

I found the same conditions yesterday down in the trenton end of the bay. Maybe slightly more ice, but about the same. Still, check as you go!

S.
