I've been out twice there and it's been slow. Tons of perch everywhere and have only marked one fish. The ice is 5" of mostly black ice where I have been. There are a few nasty pressure cracks that have flooding around them. One was particularly treacherous and I didn't cross it. With this yo-yo weather the cracks have been opening and closing. On my way out one crack I stepped over was fresh and only a couple inches wide but by the time I came back in a few hours later it was a foot wide. Be careful out there

Thanks for the report. It was slow fishing for us as well. We got one and lost one, and a handful of jumbo perch. Tons of dink perch....non stop.

What do you guys consider to be a jumbo perch? 11" plus? 12" plus?

There's some really good sized perch in BoQ. Pulled out many in the 12+ range but there are a lot of dinks this past year

If they reach across a 5 gallon pail and touch each side, they are a jumbo to me.

in my opinion 10 to 14 inches.we got 3 or 4 the other day and 50 or 60 small ones.the jumbos feel like a small mouth sometimes there so big and fat.
