Good Afternoon,
I'm looking for some info on skootamatta lake and fishing for ling, ive been doing some reading and searched the webs but not much info comes up.
ive been told it is full of ling (burbot) and that everyone up there throws them on the ice. we normally fish 2nd depot for them but on trips only catch 2-3 a night between 3 guys in 12+ hours.
looking for where to head on the lake for these. as the lake itself is oddly shaped. I have navionics and the backroad maps for the lake but still unsure. if anyone knows this lake well it would be appreciated as if we go il be making a day on it. catch some rainbow smelts in the late morning/afternoon and more to the ling as the light lowers.
P.S. if anyone has tips where to head on 2nd depot for them il take them to. we normally fish off the beach with limited luck in 30-35 fow
