Well, I gave it a try again but came out empty. Maybe one mark in 4 hours that I considered a walleye.
Ice was better than I was expecting - 10" measured from bottom up. Top two/three inches very mushy/slushi and you've got 6-7 of black ice still left. I did find it softer thank norm while hand auguering. . Only a handful of guys out there.

I seen a pic of a young lad that was out earlier today who nailed them. Him and his buddy had 7 good ones laying there.looked to all b between 5 and 8 lbs. .

Any idea what kind of water they were fishing - depth.

No idea seen him out a while back right out in the centre idk if that's where he was this time out or not. Young guys pretty handy always seems to get them..
