Hey guys, we're heading up tmrw afternoon for one of our quinte trips. We will be there till Sunday and was wondering where you would suggest for tmrw night. I'm pretty confident in hay bay but was wondering if it's worth driving to thompsons for better fishing? Any update about Sherman's would be greatly appreciated if possible too

I was at the Sherman launch on Monday and you can't access the water from the park. Maybe you can by the time you come down. Hay Bay had lots of open spots until Monday morning. The bay froze over but there were lots of holes ( like swiss cheese) with just a skim of ice. Last nights snow will hide the new ice covering the holes. Be very careful. The mouth of Hay Bay was still open as of Monday. All around Ram Island and east and west from there is new ice. There was still open water in Long Reach and at Huff's.

Deseronto through Telegraph Narrows was all open with a skim of new ice.

They were saying that there's ice in Big Bay. Might be safer ice up that way. I haven't been on the Bay this year. Doing all my fishing inland.

I wouldn't go anywhere on the Bay without a spud in my hand.

If it snowed at Hay Bay like at Wellington things might be a little sketchy.

the real problem isnt the ice....its that the fishing sucks and is extremely slow and non-existant some days
