Well it official, we hate Quinte! launched our boat on Saturday under the bridge and fished the narrows to no avail. Jigged with spot lock and drifted and not even one mark on the graph. Went all the way down to Thompson's point and still not even a mark on the graph. Did pass one fellow with our boat that was ice fishing close to Sherman's point in a bay. I think he was surprised to see a boat but we were more surprised to see him so close to open water! The winds were ferocious and ice started to break away from shore and made for one hell of an exciting ride back to the bridge.
Have fished Quinte for 32 years and have seen a steady decline in the quantity of fish both spring and fall/winter. January 28th is the latest that we have ever launched our boat and still we got nothing to show for it. Did have an excellent party @ Merlands and almost convinced Kevin to Join us.
That is my report and I am not happy with it!

Jeff said he was just in Quinte Sunday and caught some walleye. Are you sure you were in the right spots?

I only wish I knew the right spots. We went all over the place to no avail! We thought that Thompson's point or the narrows would have been epic but it was an epic failure. Could not get to the ferry with the ice blocking the path from the cement factory across to the ferry and Finkles was out of the question with the high winds blowing south west. Crossing the Gap would have been to dangerous. Should have gone to Trenton I am told. Oh well!

Just ran that by Jeff, he said it's nothing special there. Not much biting.

After two years of decline, maybe we stop to be politically correct and realize that Quinte fish are gone... Probably caught up by nets...and Jeff :)

Lotsawalleye thinks he's funny. Love that the joke is already "old" about "Jeff"

Surprised u didn't pop some fish at Thompson's. They should be stacked there as they start to stage for spawn.

JKD 24. That was us in the narrows. Mux,Mac and Snarfy. Good to meet someone from the board.
Big Mac I thought Thompson's point was going to be awesome but not even a mark! could have been the 50km wind gusts.
