you're good to go at shermans for tomorrow, 8 inches most places and atvs all over running from shermans to thompsons. All the snow is melted and its wet out there and slippery. Fishing is very slow 1 walleye over two days fishing all up and down hay bay.

We took the bike and fished up at the red bouy towards Thompson's. The only place out there to watch for today would be old holes and smiths point

Buddy fished last night on the reach, just round from Hay Bay. Best he could find was three inches of good ice. Given the weather till the end of the month he is calling it quits for this year. Ice is deteriorating fast, please, apply common sense guys, if in doubt, don't go out!

Is anyone catching any walleye with last ice just around the corner? I have been on this site for 5 years now and have not seen it so quiet regarding the catch. We had to cancel our annual trip to Hay Bay in Jan due to bad ice conditions and have not read a good walleye report all winter?

I got my limit of 4 last friday. Nothing of real size biggest was 3-4lbs. Then 2 last saturday and some big 12" jumbos ate fish everyday last weekend lol. This weekend only got 1 walleye and some decent sized jumbos but no big ones

If you've been fishing away from the crowds on Big Bay, the fishing has been decent and at times hot but, because of the ice quality, no one is saying anything. The days of public reports and fish porn are long past unfortunately...No one wants a crowd and the spots to got on safely are limited this year so everyone is tight lipped.

Still some catching going on for sure but it's definitely not on par with some of the peak years. Guys can't help but brag whether it's on here, facebook, instagram, twitter or in person and there sure hasn't been much bragging going on lol. Many of us have fished Quinte long enough to recognize the highs and lows she goes through. Same as any fishery.
