Had a problem with my Little Buddy heater. Worked good for most the season, then the pilot light would go out as soon as I released the start button.

Cleaned it as on the video and no better. Most of what I read, said it would be the thermocouple. Mine seemed to be working.
I dissected the valve and found an electric solenoid that is held closed by the thermocouple voltage, allowing propane to flow.

When I press the start button the plunger extends inside the valve and closes the solenoid valve. Once the thermocouple is heated, it creates voltage that holds the solenoid in the closed position. If there's no voltage a spring opens the solenoid cutting off the propane.

My button wasn't allowing me to push it deep enough to fully engage the solenoid. I removed the start button and put a little filler in tube where it slides onto the valve plunger. Now the solenoid will fully engaged and stays closed when I release the button.

Hope this might help someone else.

That is exactly what was happening with mine. I did the same thing and now it works perfectly. I upgraded to buddy heater and keep this as a "just in case"
