Hello all ! My name is Andrew and I'm from the ottawa area. I've been following posts here for a while now and I must say that information Shared is great. I don't go ice fishing...ever !! so some will be happy that there won't be any ice thickness requests from me lol. I do fish quinte a lot in the summer and fall with mixed results. This will be my 4 th year fishing quinte and I have fallen in love with the area. Trolling is what I do most of the time. I like fishing for walleye and lakers in the spring. A couple of things I noticed is that my best days of fishing are sept and early October. I found it quite difficult as the fall ended. The other is that most of my fish ( a large portion ) are caught in 10 to 20 ft range while trolling in 70 to 100 fow. Anyway I don't consider myself a pro by any means but a student of the game for sure. Well enjoy these last 3 or 4 weeks of cold weather and I'll see some of you on the water. Thanks

Hi Andrew & welcome aboard - as you stated this is a great site.

I too am from Ottawa and was "bitten by the Quinte bug" many years ago. I still make at least one trip each Spring and two or three in the Fall. If you are interested, perhaps we could meet at a Timmies some morning for a coffee and to swap fish tails - let me know your thoughts.

We are almost neighbours - I live in Blackburn Hamlet. Would you have any interest in perhaps joining our fishing club - The Ottawa Region Walleye League - check out our website orwl.ca. Our next winter meeting is on April 10th and you are welcome to join us as a guest.

Welcome.
Lived in Orleans for many years ( Taffy Lane) and launched my boat at Petrie or Wendover. But now I am closer to Quinte, living in K-town.
