Fished friday off the boat ramp at sherman's point with a buddy. Maybe 1.5 hours. We landed a 4 + 3lber, released.
Fished saturday. No luck for me. Fishing buddy caught 4 in 15 minutes, all eater size 1 to 2lbs, 40yards away from me. Iced another but it slipped throught the hole (another small one).
A few large perch as well. No big (walleye) ones hooked for us.
We did not move around as suggested in other posts.

Everyone we talked to at shermans said the bite was slow most of the time but had a few good spurts of biting in the morning and near dark.

approx 7" of ice at shermans. hay bay looks patchy with some open spots (on fri/sat). Argos and atv's on the ice at shermans.

Thanks MrSlim

We're going tomorrow and see if I can break my ice fishing virginity.

Cheers

Good luck superdad. I'm sure you'll do fine.

we caught the walleyes on a Sidewinder (green tape), Mr.Champ-Green + the 4 small eaters were on a Thing-A-Ma-Jig, green also (canadian tire in Napanee has them).

all caught between 4:30 to 6.

Looking forward to the report SuperD

Dave

Was out there tonight. Must have been 40 or so fisher types. Saw some fish caught between 4-6. Some real big looking ones from a distance. I got 2 fish. 1 was 26" + the other was a walleye minnow? at a whopping 5". I released em both. Saw at least 2 others releasing big hogs. Nice to see this. Noticed several nice eating fish being caught also. Likely missed a lot of the action as most people were behind me + the wind + blowing snow was brutal. Likely heading back there tomorrow.
