Every year I fish from shore in the opener usualy in the salmon river but the water levels are so high there is no where to stand and most of the fish are already gone ide assume. Is there anywhere in the quinte area that's fishable from shore where theres still a reasonable shot at catching a few? any advice is appreciated especialy after my failed trout fishing trip last week

Belleville you have myers pier and the bay bridge causeway and in Trenton the shorelines by the mouth are good.

I recovered some small boats that were pulled on shore last fall, there is 2 feet of water and drowned dew worms everywhere, makes you wonder where the fish are.

Never fished there very much, which area in Trenton are you thinking? near the bridge down town or that park just past cfb?

as Dan said, Trent river is usually pretty good. Fish off Bain park or next to the grocery store if you can get a spot. drift a worm in the current, lots bottom though.
