I am originally from New Brunswick and have done plenty of fishing for brook trout down home. Is there any good brooks around quinte or within an hour or so from quinte to land a few?

I'd be interested in hearing also. I was just talking to my wife today about how we used to take the quads out from our driveway in Labrador, hit the trails and fish the streams for brook trout. It was awesome.

Brook Trout Streams are held under lock and key. Find the small creeks that are cold, and you will find them. Google Earth is your friend....

if you head north of Belleville towards the frankford area basically any stream you pass has them in it, ive caught a few in the 2lb class up there. Look up crazy creek trout fishing preserve and Larry the owner will let you fish his property for a fee and tell you of some other good spots. Also shelter valley can be decent but it can be overfished and is a 45min drive on the 2.

Most Ontario towns and villages have small creeks or streams somewhere in the vicinity. Once they are out of town a bit they have a good chance of holding Brookies, just be cognitive of private property.
