The WalleyeWon Crew made our annual Trek to BofQ this past week with what I would consider decent success with no need for 1st aid kits or Prop Doctors!
Thanks to the lady who shouted over a warning my Bow Docking Lights were on from the night before...saved me a battery re-charge!
We concentrated mainly at the head off Hay Bay fishing in 12-14ft...mostly fished the North Shore (2 Boats, 8 guys). Except for Tuesday, weather was Fantastic.
A big shout out to Superdad and his Uzick Spinners, most of my group fed the perch several dozen worms on harnesses, they did manage several Walleye while I elected to go with the rubber worm spinner setup off a planner board. Ran it 4-6ft behind a tadpole diving weight and landed 11 Eyes.
No fish of any significant size, mostly good sized eaters 2-3lbs to allow us our Fish Fry night. On our Skins portion of our trip we had 2 great golf games at Picton and Napanee Golf clubs.
Fortunate for me the fellas let me re-claim the Fins and Skins title!!

Looking forward to our fall trip and annual June gathering in 2018.

Good job Walleyeone on your fishing and golf prowess.

Looks like the fish are high in the water column.

Steve,
Sounds like everyone had a really good time. Gotta luv when the weather, fish and planets all line up like that. I'm with you i like fishing the tadpole/board combo. Any colors out shine everything else?

Dan...yes the planets did seem to align for me this year, especially in the Skins (Golf) portion of our event when I snagged 9 carryover skins from a scratch golfer to re-claim my title...bragg'in rights really!

My best colour was the Green Uzick spinner with a few red beads, rubber worm as mentioned...I must add though I never hit the water without a little dip in Berkley's Walleye Juice where the other's did not.
Dave to clarify...the spinner was running just above bottom but only 4-6ft behind the tadpole weight. My method was to drop the weight to bottom with a few feet of slack line...then go into trolling gear at 1.3- 1.5 mph. Once up to trolling speed I attached my Planner Board and got it out to about 15-20ft beside the boat.
If this strategy can help others on the forum...have at it, good luck, certainly worked for me.
