Apologies to Deep Purple, but that's was what happening Monday AM.

Fished with fellow campers Mark & Jerry and we headed to Thompson's Cove around 0800 and fished the weed lines, 10 - 12 feet. Started within three minutes with a sheepshead and the bite was on. I changed my weight to 3/8 oz and was able to tick the tops of the weeds and for the next 3 and a half hours we were always busy.

Sometimes the perch (white & yellow), or silver bass, but overall the walleyes were just smoking the Uzick Spinners and ripple worms. We lost count of the numbers but we suspect we landed between 30 and 36 walleyes.

It was a morning to remember for years to come. Those days happen ever once in a while and get locked in your memory banks.

Mark cooked up a batch for a pot luck supper last night and it was a treat as it my first fish-fry of the year.

Tuesday's rain has put a damper on the fishing today for a while.

Stay Tuned.

Thanks for the awesome report Superdad. Who make the ripple worms your using. We use real worms, but the small fish are continually stripping the hooks.
