Foresters Island Deseronto

Passing along some turn of the century pictures of Foresters Island off Deseronto that are found in the Deseronto Archives.

The castle like building was an orphanage that housed about 250 children. I believe it was located at the west end of the island.

There were also Victorian style houses and pavilions on the Island.

Hard to believe nothing is left.

Thanks for the pictures, I had heard that there were structures on the island but never thought of that scale.
