I know lots of talk about eyes, but lets spend some time talking about the elusive Bass. I have been to many spots this short bass season and some of them my usual hot spots and have been coming up empty handed or not ones to really speak about. I know with the high waters this might be causing a problem but any other ideas out there to what might be going on.

thanks looking forward to reading any suggestions

Maybe more pressure than usual? I'm fairly new to the area and don't know the usual bass pressure but if all the typical bass spots have been over fished from the opener and then the Berkley B1, it could take a bit of time for the bass to trickle back in? Just a thought...

Assuming you're around Belleville that is! Oops.

I've had reasonably good largemouth success fishing weedbeds near the bank with spinnerbaits and texas rigged weighted worm with a few between 2-3 lbs but nothing exciting yet.

I'm looking for a good smallie spot that is kayak friendly. Was going to head down near Prinyers on a calm day

Should gets lots near Belleville as according to some of the studies they are not leaving to return where they are caught from.

I think we should have a moritorium on those bass translocating tournaments on the Bay. Leave our Hay Bay area bass where they are. :) :)

I like the jack links idea... weigh right away... released. Live leaderboard.
Way better concept for the fishery
